What do you know about gallstones?

Cholelithiasis is a very common digestive tract disorder, mostly seen in people between the ages of 40 and 55. Although there are many people with cholelithiasis, not everyone suffers from it. So, who exactly is prone to gallstone disease? Cholelithiasis is a very common digestive tract disease, mostly seen in people between the ages of 40 and 55. Although there are many people with cholelithiasis, not everyone suffers from it. So, who exactly is prone to gallstone disease? 1, people with irregular diet: due to the accelerated pace of work, long-term mental tension, irregular life. People in modern society, the pace of life accelerated, especially white-collar class, due to work tension, irregular diet or often do not eat breakfast, over time, will lead to visceral nerve disorders, gallbladder function is affected, easily lead to bile sludge. 2, people who eat too fat and too sweet: the usual high sugar, high cholesterol, high fat food intake increased, too much sugar into fat, easily lead to fat, increasing the risk of forming gallstones. High-fat diet, especially the intake of high cholesterol foods, such as animal brain, liver, kidney and egg yolk, etc., easily lead to an increase in the concentration of cholesterol in the blood and bile, and easy to form gallstones. 3, people who often eat unclean raw food: easy to be infected with parasites. The most common roundworm, which burrows into the bile ducts, lays a lot of eggs, and some of them die quickly, decaying and turning black into stumps. The remnants and eggs are affected by the movement of the bile duct and the flow of bile and are naturally discharged into the intestine, but some can also remain in the bile duct and gradually form the core of gallstones. 4, people taking birth control pills: women, especially those with multiple pregnancies, long-term use of birth control pills or postmenopausal treatment with estrogenic drugs, suffer more from gallstone disease. Because the changes of estrogen in their bodies directly affect the enzyme system of the liver, so that the bile secreted by the liver cells has a reduced bile acid salt content and increased cholesterol content; it can also interfere with the contraction function of the gallbladder, bile discharge is blocked, bile stasis, prompting gallstone formation. 5, obese people: obese people have a higher cholesterol metabolism rate in the body, and the cholesterol content in the bile increases, so it is easy to precipitate the formation of stones. Those who love to be still and do not like to move are also prone to chronic accumulation of bile and the formation of stones. 6, people with some underlying diseases: almost all patients with intrahepatic bile duct stones have biliary tract infections. Repeated biliary tract infections, decreased resistance to damage of biliary tract tissues, poor regeneration of bile duct epithelium, and increased incidence of bile duct stenosis can easily lead to bile stagnation and stone formation. In addition, patients suffering from diabetes, nephritis, hypothyroidism, hemolytic diseases and other diseases are prone to the formation of cholesterol stones. So how to prevent gallstone disease? 1, diet prevention: diet control is the most ideal way to prevent the occurrence of gallstone disease. Eat less cholesterol-rich foods, especially for obese gallstones should be restricted, including animal brains, animal offal, fish roe, fatty meat, crab yolk, egg yolk, cream products, etc.. Eat more vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin A and vitamin C, fish and seafood, such as spinach, bamboo shoots, onions, tomatoes, string beans, corn, green peppers, pumpkin, red-skinned radish, lotus root all have different degrees of litholytic effect. 2, regular meals: the gallbladder is regularly contracted and emptied, which can reduce the residence time of bile in the gallbladder, regular meals (three meals a day) is also an effective way to prevent stones. This is because during fasting, the gallbladder is filled with bile, which eventually forms bile sludge and gallstones. Only when the food enters the intestine, the gallbladder will contract, when a large amount of bile with viscous and water content of bile sludge is discharged to reach the intestine, thus preventing the formation of stones. 3, regular medical checkups: gallstone disease has a genetic predisposition, family members with gallstones, more should be regular medical checkups. Studies have found that obesity, high-fat diet and dyslipidemia are risk factors for the development of gallstones when people reach middle age. It is recommended that regular check-ups of abdominal ultrasound and blood lipids will enable early detection of gallstones, early treatment and prevention of the problem. 4, scientific exercise, weight control. 5, learn to relax, avoid sedentary: Chinese medicine believes that emotional disorders, liver qi stagnation, drainage, bile stagnation is a major factor in the formation of stones. Keep a happy mood, people’s gas flow, Qi and blood reconciliation, normal liver drainage, bile is not easy to “retention” and stone. Avoid long hours of work in a seated position, and avoid excessive fatigue.
