A press on the kidney pain, generally refers to the kidney area pressure pain, the cause is very complex, may be caused by infection, stones or tumors and other diseases caused by the pain. Patients are advised to go to the hospital for timely examination and causal treatment.1. Infection: If there is pain in the kidney area on pressure, it generally suggests upper urinary tract infection, commonly pyelonephritis, which may have symptoms of frequent urination, urinary urgency and painful urination, accompanied by pressure pain in the ipsilateral kidney area, fever, chills and other symptoms. It is generally recommended to be admitted to the hospital and given high doses of antibiotics. For pyelonephritis that is more serious or even leads to pus accumulation in the kidney, patients are preferred to do stent drainage by placing a stent tube in the ureter or doing extrarenal drainage to draw out the pus and relieve the pain in the kidney area caused by severe infection; 2. Stones: stones in the ureter can lead to ureteral spasm and induce pain, and the pain may be in the ipsilateral lumbar back. It leads to pain in the kidney area as soon as you press it. It is recommended to do X-ray or CT scan to decide the next step of treatment according to the size, location and shape of the stone. Generally, for small stones, we can choose drugs for stone removal, and for medium or large stones, we can choose extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy or minimally invasive surgery for treatment. 3. Tumor: In advanced kidney tumor or renal pelvis tumor, when the tumor is too large to compress the surrounding tissues, a huge mass may be felt during body check, and at the same time, there is pain when pressing the kidney area. In the treatment, surgery is usually considered, together with radiotherapy.
