Can I breastfeed if I’m pregnant?

If you are pregnant, it is not recommended to continue breastfeeding. More nutrients need to be added after pregnancy and if you continue to breastfeed, it will result in insufficient supply of nutrients. From the baby’s point of view, there is no big change in breast milk after pregnancy, only that as the pregnancy week increases, the demand for nutrients will also increase, which will result in less and less milk, just not enough for the baby, but it will not produce harmful substances that will affect the baby’s body. From the mother’s point of view, pregnancy requires a lot of nutrients in the body, and if you continue to breastfeed, the consumption of fat, sugar, vitamins and various trace elements in the body will be greater, which is undoubtedly worse for the mother and will easily cause anemia and affect the baby’s growth and development. Therefore, from the health point of view, if you are pregnant, it is recommended to stop breastfeeding, so as not to affect your own health, but also to affect the physical development of the fetus. To sum up, it is generally recommended to use contraception for more than one year in case of normal birth and more than two years in case of cesarean birth, so as to avoid the embarrassment of pregnancy during breastfeeding. It is also important to note that the absence of menstruation does not mean that there is no ovulation and you cannot get pregnant, so you must pay attention to contraception.
