The main difference between oxaliplatin and fluorouracil is the drug composition, scope of application and precautions for use. Oxaliplatin, the main ingredient of which is oxaliplatin, is indicated for the first-line treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer or adjuvant treatment of stage III (Duke’s stage C) colon cancer after complete resection of the primary tumor. Adverse reactions such as diarrhea, nausea, neutropenia or peripheral sensory neuropathy may be triggered during use. It is recommended that platinum derivatives be contraindicated in allergic individuals and used with caution in women during pregnancy and lactation. Fluorouracil, the main component of which is fluorouracil, can be clinically used for colon cancer, rectal cancer, chorionic epithelial carcinoma, malignant staphylococcus, squamous carcinoma of the head and neck and other malignant tumors. Adverse reactions such as myelosuppression, nausea and erythema dermatitis may occur. There may also be pain, phlebitis or endarteritis at the injection site. It is contraindicated in women during pregnancy and lactation.
