Endometrial cancer from early to late stage usually years

The time from early stage to advanced stage of endometrial cancer varies greatly on an individual basis and may range from several years to several decades. It is related to individual’s physical quality, type of endometrial cancer, living habits, mental state, treatment methods, etc. Endometrial cancer is a group of epithelial malignant tumors occurring in the endometrium, which is more common in perimenopausal and postmenopausal women. Patients’ symptoms are not obvious in the very early stage, and once they appear, they are mostly irregular vaginal bleeding, vaginal discharge and lower abdominal pain. In early stage patients, surgery is the mainstay, and adjuvant therapy is chosen after surgery according to high-risk factors. Late stage patients are treated with a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and require regular postoperative follow-up. It is not yet possible to prevent the occurrence of endometrial cancer. Only early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment can achieve better treatment results and prognosis.
