Niubizi is bitter, sour and flat in nature. If taken for its therapeutic effects of tonifying the liver and kidney and strengthening the tendons and bones, it can treat soreness and weakness of the back and knees, especially for modern patients with severe osteoarthritis of both knees and lumbar disc protrusion, all of which have better effects of tonifying the liver and kidney and strengthening the tendons and bones.
