What to look for in a fatty liver ultrasound description

The ultrasound description of fatty liver usually has three aspects: liver morphology and size, echoes and light spots, and intrahepatic tubular structure, as follows. 1. Liver morphology and size: when suffering from mild fatty liver, it is usually described as normal in size and shape, while in moderate and severe fatty liver, it will be described as an increase in the size of the liver or a significant increase in the size of the liver, and the edges of the liver are smooth and blunt. 2. Echoes and light spots: Echoes and light spots in ultrasound indicate the size of density. Ultrasound descriptions of fatty liver usually include increased liver echoes and dense light spots in the liver parenchyma. It represents the increased density of fat in the liver. 3. Intrahepatic ductal structure: Fatty liver will have a lot of fat interfering with intrahepatic ducts, so ultrasound describes the intrahepatic ductal structure as unclear. Ultrasound for fatty liver should be viewed and diagnosed by a doctor, not by oneself.
