Thyroid nodule category III is a graded assessment performed by thyroid ultrasound, and is primarily assessed as a grade III thyroid nodule. Thyroid nodules grade III are mostly benign nodules, such as hereditary thyroid nodules and insufficient iodine intake; however, they may also be due to malignant nodules and require treatment according to the cause. 1. Benign thyroid nodules: (1) Hereditary thyroid nodules: radioactive iodine treatment or direct surgery to remove the thyroid nodules can be considered. (2) Insufficient iodine intake: Reasonable iodine supplementation is required to prevent iodine deficiency leading to gradual enlargement of the nodules, and oral iodine solution can be taken if necessary. 2. Malignant thyroid nodules: the risk of malignant lesions cannot be ruled out, but the chance is relatively small. If fine-needle aspiration biopsy is performed, if the biopsy result is malignant, timely surgical treatment is needed. Currently found three types of thyroid nodules, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor for further examination, and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
