What is the meaning of CTA check

CTA, short for CT angiography, is a CT scan performed through a patient’s upper extremity vein with rapid injection of iodine contrast, at the moment of optimal contrast concentration in the target vessel according to each patient’s blood circulation status, followed by a computerized post-processing technique to reconstruct a three-dimensional image of the vessel. This technique is now widely used for the diagnosis of vascular diseases such as atherosclerosis, arteritis, thrombosis, aneurysm, aortic coarctation, etc. It can also be used to localize and qualitatively diagnose tumors, provide treatment plans, etc. by image evaluation of tumor supplying arteries.
