The basic DPT vaccine is used for children aged 3 months to 6 years, with a total of 4 injections, starting at 3 months of age and ending at 12 months of age, with an interval of 4-6 weeks between each injection. A booster shot is given at 18 months to 24 months of age. Children with fever, respiratory infection, diarrhea, etc. are not recommended for vaccination. Adverse reactions such as mild loss of appetite and pain at the injection site may occur on the day of vaccination, and will usually gradually recover on their own in about 2 days. After vaccination, children are better immunized against tetanus and diphtheria, and the incidence of whooping cough can also be reduced. Since the eye of the needle is not yet completely closed after vaccination, it is recommended to take a shower after 48 hours to avoid infection.
