Whether or not surgery can be performed in the middle stage of lung tumor should be judged according to the patient’s condition and the benign or malignant nature of the tumor. Generally speaking, malignant tumors and benign tumors with obvious enlargement or symptoms of compression should be treated with surgery in time.
Lung tumors mainly include benign lung tumors and malignant lung tumors. Usually, patients with malignant lung tumors need to strive for complete resection of the tumor to reduce metastasis and recurrence of the tumor, and also need to be treated according to the accurate TNM staging after surgery. If there is no contraindication to surgery, patients can usually undergo surgical treatment.
For patients with benign lung tumors, if the size of the tumor is small and does not compress the surrounding tissues and organs, chest CT can be checked regularly and surgery is not necessary. However, if the tumor is large or if it is found to be significantly enlarged during the observation period, surgery should be performed as soon as possible, and the patient should also actively take surgical treatment when he/she develops symptoms of compression.
It is recommended that patients with mid-stage lung tumors should consult the doctor in time, improve the examination under the doctor’s guidance, choose the appropriate treatment plan, and take good care of themselves in order to avoid delaying their condition.
