Qi and blood blockage and stasis can be regulated by taking Chai Hu Shu Liver Pills together with Hematopoietic Pills.
1. Chaihu Shu Liver Pill is composed of Poria, Paeonia lactiflora, Licorice, Cardamom, Incense, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae, Platycodon Grandiflorus, and Magnolia. It has the effect of dispersing liver qi, eliminating distension and relieving pain. It is used for treating chest and hypochondrium (chest and ribs) congestion, food stagnation, abdominal distension, and vomiting of acidic water caused by liver qi discomfort. The adverse effects and contraindications of this medicine are not clear.
2. Hematopoietic Pill is composed of Chai Hu, Angelica Sinensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Safflower, Peach Kernel, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong and so on. It has the efficacy of activating blood circulation to eliminate blood stasis, promoting qi circulation and relieving pain (relieving pain by regulating the body’s qi). It is used for headache, chest pain, insomnia, sleeplessness, palpitation (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), dysarthria (violent heartbeat, panic) caused by qi stagnation and blood stasis (blood stagnation due to lack of qi circulation). It is contraindicated for pregnant women. Adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and abdominal pain may occur when taking this product.
