The single indicator of 5% Ki67 positivity in kidney cancer patients is not very serious, but the severity of kidney cancer also needs to refer to various factors such as stage and histologic typing. Kidney cancer, also known as renal cell carcinoma and renal adenocarcinoma, is highly prevalent in people aged 50-70 years old, and is mainly manifested by hematuria, lower back pain and lumps. A small number of patients will have paraneoplastic syndromes such as fever and hypertension, and about 30% of patients are first seen for metastatic tumor symptoms. Ki67 is a tumor proliferation-related indicator, and its positive rate can reflect the proliferation status of the tumor. Generally speaking, the higher the Ki67 positive rate is, the more active the tumor proliferation is, indicating that the tumor is poorly differentiated, highly malignant and prone to recurrence and metastasis. The Ki67 positive rate of 5% belongs to the negative range, which indicates that the proliferation of the cancer cells of this patient is not very active, the differentiation is better, and the prognosis is also better, so this indicator is not serious. However, the severity and prognosis of kidney cancer are related to many factors such as tumor stage, typing, grading and so on besides Ki67, and only Ki67 negativity does not indicate the severity of kidney cancer. It is recommended that patients should go to regular hospitals for consultation and have their conditions comprehensively judged by professional doctors with reference to tumor size, lymph node and distant metastasis, histological classification, etc., and then follow the doctor’s instructions to carry out treatment.
