Small bowel inflammation needs to be examined by barium X-ray meal, capsule gastroscopy, colonoscopy and small enteroscopy.
1. Barium X-ray: this is the most common method to check small bowel diseases. Inflammation of the small bowel can have obvious changes in the barium examination, such as Crohn’s disease, which shows narrowing of the lumen at the end of the ileum and stiffness of the bowel wall.
2. Capsule gastroscopy: this is a painless examination method, oral capsule-sized gastroscope, into the small intestine, through the camera to take pictures of the mucosa of the small intestine, through the wireless signal transmission, to be able to diagnose small bowel inflammation.
3. Colonoscopy: The colonoscopy can pass through the ileocecal portion to enter the end of the ileum, and can check for inflammatory lesions at the end of the ileum, such as intestinal tuberculosis, and changes in the colon as well as the end of the ileum.
4. Small colonoscopy: Small colonoscopy can be performed through the mouth through the esophagus and stomach into the small intestine, and small intestinal lesions can be observed through a camera; or through the anus through the colon into the small intestine, and small intestinal lesions can be observed through a camera.
Considering suffering from inflammation of the small intestine, you can go to the hospital and let the doctor choose the appropriate examination method according to the specific situation.
