Brushing for about 3 minutes is optimal.
Studies have shown that plaque removal reaches 80% within the first 2 minutes of brushing, and efficiency begins to decline after 2 minutes, so it is recommended to brush for at least 2 minutes, with about 3 minutes being optimal for removing most of the plaque. It is important to mention that plaque will re-attach 8 hours after removal, so the frequency of brushing is equally important. Morning and evening brushing, rinsing after meals, and brushing before bedtime are recommended as most important.
In addition, under normal circumstances, it is recommended that children use the circular brushing method and adults use the pasteurized brushing method, mainly through the rotation, trembling and whisking of these movements, as far as possible, the surface of the teeth plaque and soft tartar clean, for some crowded teeth, extra attention can be paid to auxiliary flossing and other tools to help clean.
It is recommended to go to regular hospital stomatology department for regular checkup and scaling once every 6~12 months.
