How many stages of nasal cancer are there?

Clinically, nasal cancer is mainly divided into stages I-IV. Stage I tumor is the earliest tumor, which is often confined to the nasal cavity without metastasis or spreading; stage II refers to the tumor has invaded and damaged the bone wall of the nasal cavity to reach the sinus, or has invaded into the opposite side of the nasal cavity without lymph node metastasis, or the tumor is confined to the nasal cavity but with active lymph node metastasis. Stage III refers to tumors that have significantly invaded into the sinuses or orbits but have no obvious lymph node metastasis or have an active lymph node metastasis on the same side, or stage I and II tumors accompanied by fixed lymph node metastasis, which are all classified as stage III. Stage IV tumor is also known as advanced stage, when the tumor has invaded the skull base and caused the destruction of the skull base bone, no matter whether there is lymph node metastasis or not, or any stage of the tumor has metastasis to distant organs, all of them belong to stage IV.
