Can hysteroscopy check the fallopian tubes

Hysteroscopy alone cannot check the fallopian tubes. Hysteroscopy is an examination of the uterus, and can only check the opening of the patient’s fallopian tubes for lesions and the closure of the tubal orifices. Hysteroscopic insertion of the tube can find out whether the fallopian tube is usual or not, but in order to find out the usual degree of the fallopian tube or the location of the obstruction, a tubal angiogram is needed. Hysteroscopy can be performed if the patient is suspected of having endometrial polyps, endometritis, or cervical adhesions. However, when patients want to have a detailed examination of the fallopian tubes and treatment at the same time, hysteroscopy and laparoscopy can be used to carry out a combined examination and treatment of the patient’s blocked tubes or poorly communicated tubes so that the blocked tubes can be improved. At the same time, the combined treatment can be used for pelvic adhesion disintegration for patients with pelvic adhesions that lead to periampullary tubal inflammation. Therefore, combined hysterolaparoscopic surgery is also a method of treatment for infertile patients.
