Be on the lookout for persistent coughs during the sensitive fall season

Cough is the most common disease, which can be cured in a week in general. If the cough does not heal for a long time, you should be careful of lung cancer. In autumn and winter, more and more people have cough, but most of them do not care about it and think it is a cold, but when they go to the hospital again, lung cancer has already developed to the middle and late stage. If you have a long-term cough that does not heal after autumn, you should pay attention to lung cancer screening because, cough is the main early symptom manifestation of lung cancer. Mr. Liang, 55, started to have coughing and sputum symptoms 2 years ago and intermittently had blood in his sputum, and was tortured by such cough for nearly half a year before he went to the local hospital. One month ago, a routine review of chest CT indicated multiple neoplastic growths in the trachea, and later, tracheoscopy revealed multiple neoplastic growths in Mr. Liang’s trachea with a jumping pattern. A rigid microscope was inserted through the mouth under general anesthesia, and a soft microscope was entered through the rigid microscope. The neoplastic growth in the lumen with irregular shape, smooth surface, easy to bleed when touched, the tumor was of wall + endotracheal + wall type, and the lumen was narrowed by about 70%. After the operation, Mr. Liang’s coughing and wheezing symptoms were significantly relieved. If there are indications for surgery, try to remove the tumor surgically, and cooperate with radiotherapy after surgery; if there is metastasis, comprehensive treatment is needed depending on the specific condition. In this case, intra-tracheal metastasis occurred, so the patient underwent trap, carbon dioxide freezing, biopsy forceps and other methods to remove the mass, which may recur frequently and require repeated treatment. Patients with advanced lung cancer should not give up lightly, and multiple means of integrated treatment under tracheoscopy can be used to reduce patients’ pain and improve their quality of life.
