Uterine prolapse is not detected by ultrasound, often the patient will take the supine position when doing ultrasound, the uterine prolapse will return to the normal position in the supine position, so for uterine prolapse ultrasound is not detected. The detection of uterine prolapse is mainly through gynecological examination to understand the position of the cervix, and if the position of the cervix is below the level of the sciatic spine, it is considered to be uterine prolapse. If the cervix is mostly detached at the vaginal opening, it is a moderate uterine prolapse, and if the whole uterus is detached outside the vagina, it is a severe uterine prolapse, which is mainly determined by gynecological examination, but ultrasound is only a morphological examination.
