Selegiline, or selegiline phosphate tablets, this product does not directly cause wasting. Sitagliptin phosphate is an oral hypoglycemic agent indicated for type 2 diabetes mellitus, which can be effective when exercise, diet, and medication are poorly controlled. Sitagliptin phosphate is a glucose-lowering agent based on enteric insulin. The use of this medication alone does not increase the risk of hypoglycemia occurring or increase the patient’s weight. Adverse effects of selegiline phosphate include nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection, headache, hypoglycemia, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, angioneurotic edema, urticaria, acute pancreatitis, acute renal failure, myalgia, back pain, and headache. Therefore, this product has no adverse reactions that directly cause wasting. The use of selegiline phosphate is contraindicated in children, pregnant women, as well as in patients with hypersensitivity to this drug, type I diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis.
