Chronic toxicity refers to a series of organ dysfunction or failure caused by long-term exposure to or ingestion of the toxic agent in question. The first step in treatment is to stop the exposure or intake of the toxic agent to reduce the further damage caused by the toxic agent to the body. Secondly, specific detoxifying drugs or metabolic and excretory drugs should be administered to the toxins ingested into the body, with the aim of reducing further organ damage caused by toxins in the body, accelerating their conversion into non-toxic or less toxic substances in the body, and promoting their excretion. At the same time, the organ dysfunction caused by toxins should be treated with certain supportive therapy, in order to reverse the damage caused by toxins or reduce the further progress of the disease. For acute attacks caused by chronic poisoning, apart from actively treating the sudden onset of the disease, the rest of the treatment should still follow the principles of chronic poisoning treatment.
