Mecobalamin Tablets and Mecobalamin Dispersible Tablets have no significant difference in effect and indications, with slightly different usage. Methylcobalamin Tablets and Methylcobalamin Dispersible Tablets contain the same potent ingredients and have the same indications for use in the treatment of peripheral neuropathy. There will be differences in the usage of the two drugs, in which methylcobalamin tablets are administered orally; while methylcobalamin dispersible tablets can be taken directly by mouth, swallowed, or shaken and dispersed in an appropriate amount of warm water. Gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and diarrhea are occasionally seen with methylcobalamin. Methylcobalamin must be contraindicated in people who are allergic to it. Whether using methylcobalamin tablets or methylcobalamin dispersible tablets, if it is ineffective after one month of continuous use then there is no need to continue taking the drug. In addition, workers engaged in mercury and its compounds are not suitable to take large quantities of methylcobalamin for a long period of time. Both methylcobalamin tablets and methylcobalamin dispersible tablets should be used in strict compliance with the doctor’s instructions, and should not be abused on their own.
