What are the chances of a sinus cyst becoming cancerous?

Sinus cysts are benign and cysts are usually not cancerous. Sinus cysts are categorized into mucous cysts, cysts, odontogenic cysts, which are formed by glandular secretion expansion. Mucous cysts are the blockage of mucous glands and plasma glands of sinus mucosa. Mucous cysts are formed by occlusion of the sinus orifices and retention of secretions in the sinuses. Odontogenic cysts are generally divided into dental cysts, root cysts. The former occurs in young people with abnormal tooth development, and can be treated with surgical excision to establish sinonasal drainage. Root cysts are formed by the degenerative changes of the root tip granuloma, mostly occurring in older patients, and the treatment is based on removing the cysts and treating the diseased teeth at the same time. If a sinus cyst is diagnosed, it needs to be treated as soon as possible to avoid serious complications.
