Dietary considerations for hard thyroid tumors

Thyroid adenoma is a common and frequent clinical disease, most of which are benign lesions and a few are cancerous, divided into two categories: benign and malignant. The etiology is unclear, and the pathological changes are thyroid follicular hyperplasia and enlargement of thyroid tissue. Benign ones are soft in texture, while malignant ones are hard in texture. The following are some of the dietary considerations for thyroid adenoma: food methods: according to the patient’s digestive ability, take a small number of meals, coarse and fine, fluid, alternating soft and hard foods, sweet and salty interchangeable meals. Create a pleasant atmosphere when eating, and try to eat with relatives. Before eating, thyroid cancer patients should try to avoid the smell of oil and smoke and other negative stimuli. During the interval between radiotherapy and chemotherapy, patients should seize the favorable opportunity to supplement nutrition when their appetite improves. Food recipes: Try not to have a single recipe for thyroid tumor patients, but a new pattern, variety and reasonable structure. When making recipes, try to do as much as possible: a combination of fresh food cold, hot, warm and flat flavors, a combination of light and high nutritional quality, a combination of soft and easy to digest and rich in vitamins, a combination of total supply and the patient’s internal organs cold and hot deficiency evidence. It is best to do this under the guidance of a doctor. The total daily calorie intake of thyroid cancer patients is generally not lower than the minimum requirement of normal people, i.e. above 10 kJ per day. As the protein decomposition in cancer patients is high and the anabolic function is low, the nutrition is in a state of negative nitrogen balance, so the demand for protein should be increased. Generally, the daily protein intake should be more than 1.5 grams of body weight, with high-quality protein as the main source. Nutritional balance: According to the needs of thyroid tumor patients, each nutrient should be appropriate and complete, in addition to the intake of sufficient high-quality protein, usually low-fat, moderate carbohydrate should be the main focus. Vitamins, inorganic salts, and fiber can also be obtained from fresh vegetables and fruits.
