The treatment of transient ischemic attack aims to eliminate the causes, reduce and prevent attacks, and protect brain function. For carotid artery with obvious atherosclerotic plaque, stenosis greater than 70% or thrombosis, which affects the intracerebral blood supply and repeatedly occurs, carotid endarterectomy, internal and external carotid artery anastomosis or endovascular intervention are feasible. 2.Medication: mainly includes the use of anti-platelet aggregation drugs to reduce thrombosis and recurrence, such as aspirin and clopidogrel; anticoagulant drugs, such as heparin, low molecular heparin and warfarin; vasodilator drugs and volume expansion drugs; brain tissue protection drugs; fibrinogen reduction therapy, etc. 3.Surgical treatment: For those with severe stenosis (>70%) of carotid artery or vertebrobasilar artery, if the effect of antiplatelet aggregation therapy and/or anticoagulation therapy is not good or even deteriorates, endovascular intervention, endarterectomy surgery or arterial bypass surgery can be chosen. There are more treatment measures for transient ischemic attack, which should be decided by neurologist after interview.
