Can you still get the pertussis vaccine at 12?

Currently, 12-year-olds cannot be vaccinated against whooping cough, and whooping cough vaccinations should be completed at the prescribed age. Pertussis vaccine includes basic immunization, booster immunization two kinds of basic immunization a total of three shots, respectively, in three months, four months, five months of time each vaccination; when the baby is one and a half years to two years of age, you can be vaccinated with a booster vaccine for whooping cough, to improve immunity. Therefore, 12 years old is no longer the age group for pertussis vaccination and is not suitable for pertussis vaccination. Parents are advised to bring their children for pertussis vaccination in time for the pertussis vaccination schedule. If the pertussis vaccine is not given at the required age, it needs to be made up within a week or a month and is not suitable to be delayed for too long. 12-year-olds need to do a good job of preventing whooping cough on a daily basis, and parents should take their children to the hospital promptly when they notice suspected symptoms of whooping cough in their 12-year-olds.
