Precautions after pacemaker implantation

Patients who have had pacemaker implantation should read: 1. Please avoid MRI examinations; do not place magnets on the pacemaker or play with the pacemaker by yourself. 2. Avoid places that generate strong magnetic fields, such as large power plants and transformers. If a special environment makes your heart beat uncomfortably, please leave the place as soon as possible. 3.If you need other non-cardiac surgery, please inform your doctor of your history of pacemaker implantation; try to avoid the use of an electric knife during surgery. 4. Pacemaker follow-up is usually 1 month after discharge from the hospital. The follow-up is usually once a year thereafter, or according to the doctor’s recommendation. If you have any special discomfort during this period, please feel free to visit us. 5.If you have other cardiac or non-cardiac diseases, please continue your treatment. 6. If you have any other questions, please consult your doctor.
