The meniscus of the knee is not easy to recover from wear and tear. There are fewer blood vessels around the meniscus and there is a congenital lack of blood supply. The blood vessels in the meniscus gradually decrease from the red zone near the joint capsule to the red-white junction zone far away from the joint capsule until the blood vessels completely disappear in the center, i.e. the white zone. Blood supply is a necessary condition for bone tissue repair, so the red zone injury has a certain chance of recovery, while the red-white junction injury is difficult to recover, and the white zone can not be repaired on its own. From the above anatomical characteristics of meniscus, it is not easy to recover from knee meniscus wear. It is recommended that the patient under the guidance of the doctor for further examination to determine the next step of the treatment plan about meniscus wear, to prevent affecting the patient’s normal life.
