What are the acupuncture points on the top of the head

There is an acupoint on the top of the head called Baihui, which belongs to the Directing Vessel and is located in the midline of the body, 5 inches from the front hairline, at the midpoint of the line connecting the two ears. The Baihui acupoint has beneficial effects on Qi and Yang, calming and tranquilizing the mind. It is commonly used clinically to treat head and facial disorders, neurological disorders, and organ prolapse disorders, such as headache, vertigo, tinnitus, nasal congestion, apoplexy, epilepsy, and prolapse of the anus and uterus, diarrhea, yin jing, and hemorrhoids. Baihui can be acupuncture or moxibustion. If the headache or vertigo is caused by high blood pressure, it is not recommended to use the Baihui point. Of course there are other acupuncture points on the top of the head in addition to the Baihui point, as well as on the Governor’s Vessel and the bladder meridian on either side of it.
