There are two main criteria for psychological health: 1. a sense of well-being in life. This is based on the individual’s internal experience; 2. Adapt to the environment, the survival of the fittest. If the individual’s behavior meets the requirements of the environment, society will accept him and he will be able to survive. Otherwise, it will be eliminated by society or the environment. All psychological problems or mental disorders will be self-awareness disorders and at the same time interpersonal problems, which will be some kind of maladjustment of the individual to the interpersonal environment. Good interpersonal relationships are an external manifestation of a healthy sense of self and are an important external condition for mental health to be maintained. During childhood, a good mother-infant relationship lays the foundation for a child’s psychologically healthy development. We often say that children’s psychological problems are often not the children’s own problems, but their parents are the ones with the real problems (illnesses). In fact, this statement is still not accurate enough. It is most accurate to say that children’s psychological problems are often not the children’s own problems or their parents’ problems, but rather that there is something wrong with the way parents communicate and interact with their children interpersonally. However, in this case, the parents, by virtue of their “parental prerogative,” forcibly designate the child as “sick” and take the child to the hospital to see a doctor and get the child to take medication without admitting that they have a problem, much less taking the medication on their own initiative. On the surface, it seems that we are arguing whether the child is sick or the parents are sick, but in fact, what is hidden behind the “sickness” is the power struggle between the child and the parents, a problem of power inequality and inequality, a problem of power oppression, and a problem of children rebelling against their parents’ privileges. This power struggle is ultimately expressed in the form of “sickness”. In Beijing, it is called “sickness”.
