Bao Piao Cao, also known as ox rib tendon, is a plant-based traditional Chinese medicine with the effect of detoxifying and dispersing swelling, and is often used for dysentery and reddish-white (diarrhea manifested as reddish-white pus and blood stools), yellow eyes, yellow urine, and burning in the anus. Beef rib tendon is the whole grass of the plant small-leaved yellow flower ripening, is a Chinese herbal medicine, slightly cold in nature, pungent and bitter in flavor, attributed to the heart and liver meridians. Its effects include clearing heat and drying dampness (removing heat and drying dampness), detoxifying and dispersing swelling. It is used for treating dampness-heat congestion in the large intestine (dampness-heat evil congestion in the large intestine), internal urgency and heaviness (discomfort in the lower abdomen, a strong desire to relieve stool, and a feeling of incomplete defecation after defecation), burning heat in the anus, reddish-white dysentery, dampness-heat compelling the gallbladder, bile spillage, yellow urine, yellow body, yellow eyes, yellow urine, anonymous swellings, fire-heat poisonousness, carbuncle and gangrene (which is a type of poisonous sore, an acute suppurative disease that occurs on the surface of the body, the limbs, and the internal organs) sores and boils. The adverse reactions as well as contraindications and precautions of Niu Rib Tendon are currently unknown. There is a possibility of drug-drug interactions if this product is used with other drugs. If there is a need for this product, it should be used under the supervision of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, and should not be taken on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
