Hyperopia refers to the refractive state in which parallel rays of light pass through the refractive system of the eye and focus behind the retina when the eye’s adjustment is relaxed. It is a common refractive state in clinical practice, which will also cause blurred vision in patients. Patients with low hyperopia are able to compensate for it by adjustment when they are young, therefore, most patients’ vision will not be affected before the age of 40. In moderate hyperopia, vision is affected and may be accompanied by discomfort such as visual fatigue, or even internal strabismus due to over-adjustment. In high hyperopia patients, vision is more affected and most of them do not have discomfort symptoms such as visual fatigue. It is recommended that hyperopia patients go to the hospital for timely examination and, depending on the situation, wear lenses in a timely manner to correct the condition if necessary.
