Infant bedtime

Infant refers to the baby within one week of age, this stage is the most rapid growth and development of the baby, but also the most important period, adequate rest and sleep is the basic guarantee of the baby’s healthy development. Newborn babies generally sleep for about 18-22 hours a day, basically except for milk, urination and defecation, the rest of the time is generally spent in sleep, after 4 weeks of life. The baby’s daytime sleep time gradually decreases. From 1 to 3 months of age, babies sleep for about 16-18 hours a day, and their daytime sleep becomes regular, with short periods of play during the free time of naps. Babies try to keep the environment as quiet as possible when they sleep and feed them well before bedtime. For 4-6 month old babies, sleep time is usually around 14-16 hours, with less time spent sleeping during the day, and less waking up during the night. 7 to 12 months old baby, sleep time 13 to 14 hours, night sleep about 10 hours. This stage of baby’s life should be regular, reasonable with diet, and develop good sleep habits. Baby sleep is the key moment to replenish physical energy, of course, there are individual differences between babies, some sleep more than these averages, there are also babies sleep less, as long as the baby is in good spirits, eat milk well, does not affect its growth and development, is normal.
