Guidelines for visiting a doctor with epilepsy

Because of the secular belief that the first choice of epilepsy patients is often neurology, the current epilepsy discipline has evolved beyond neurology. Some epileptic lesions are so small that they require a high-quality MRI and medical masters who can interpret this MRI, and these masters are often neurosurgeons. Whether a seizure is present, and the type of seizure, requires a video EEG, or long-range dynamic EEG to clarify. Topographical brain maps and transient EEGs chosen by physicians are of little diagnostic significance. It is recommended that the majority of patients who seek medical care and suspect epilepsy or epilepsy with multiple consultations with poor results may wish to change their mindset and seek neurosurgery. Due to the rapid development of epilepsy, and not all neurosurgeons are able to diagnose it, but hospitals that include neurosurgery with a specialty in epilepsy surgery are trusted by the patients. It is not that neurosurgeons will only operate. Patients with epilepsy who actually need surgery should have it as soon as possible, as the possibility of eradication is higher. When surgery is not needed, epilepsy surgeons will prescribe reasonable antiepileptic drugs and continue observation treatment.
