Foreign body stuck in the throat, Heimlich’s first aid method, is a kind of first aid method specially used for rescuing acute respiratory tract foreign body obstruction caused by respiratory distress. Its principle is mainly to give external force to impact the patient’s upper abdomen, so that the patient’s abdominal diaphragm upward, thus increasing the pressure of the chest cavity to form an outward impact force, in order to help eliminate the purpose of airway foreign body. If the patient is still awake and can stand, the operator can stand behind the patient, wrap his hands around the patient’s upper abdomen and make a fist with both hands to give the patient an upward impact on the upper abdomen, which can be completed. It can be repeated several times until the foreign body is discharged. If the foreign body can not be discharged for a long time, it indicates that the operation has failed, and emergency calls should be made promptly. If the patient is in an unconscious state, make him/her lie flat on the ground and repeat the above method. In the case of a pregnant woman, rough pressure on the abdomen should be avoided, and pressure can be applied to the lower part of the patient’s sternum to try to help her expel the foreign body. Such patients should be rescued at the same time, should call the emergency telephone, in order to avoid the failure of first aid serious consequences.
