Effectiveness of anal administration of Lixuezi

Levaquin is a strong sedative drug, which is used clinically for induction of anesthesia and for sedation of mechanically ventilated patients in intensive care units, and is administered intravenously and intramuscularly. If administered anally, this drug can cause respiratory depression and may even be life-threatening if absorbed adequately. If the drug has already been administered, it is recommended to dilute the drug with saline enema immediately and then discharge it to minimize the toxic side effects of this drug. There are no clinical studies on how effective rectal administration is, so Lixin can’t be administered anally.
