Can you recover from deformed eyes with glasses?

From a medical point of view wearing glasses does not cause deformity of the patient’s eyes; deformity of the eyes is caused by eye diseases such as myopia, and has nothing to do with wearing glasses. Currently, there is no way to improve the deformation of eyes caused by myopia, but we can prevent myopia through treatment to avoid the aggravation of eye deformation. Wearing eyeglasses does not usually cause eye deformity, but eye deformity is mostly related to refractive errors, such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism, so eye deformity may occur even if you do not wear eyeglasses. For example, in myopic patients, as the myopia gradually deepens, there will be lengthening of the eye axis and posterior scleral staphyloma, which will lead to deformation of the patient’s eyes. Currently, there is no treatment to improve eye deformity caused by refractive error, but patients can prevent the progression of refractive error to high refractive error by correcting bad eye habits and eye exercises. It is recommended that patients with eye deformity seek prompt medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
