Pantoglucamine is an iodine contrast agent and should be tested for allergy before use. Patients with severe allergy to pantopamine can go into shock rapidly and endanger their lives. Pantoglucamine skin test is usually done by subcutaneous injection of 0.1 ml, and the injected mound should be observed 15-20 minutes after injection. If there is local itching, redness, swelling, or hardness or if the mound increases more than one centimeter in diameter, the skin test is positive and its use should be prohibited. Currently in clinical practice pancytopenic glucosamine has been used less frequently due to the high allergy rate.
