In order not to let new parents blindly anxious, listed a few typical normal symptoms of newborns, we will no longer be listed as abnormal conditions. 1, newborn physiological jaundice Most newborns, in the 2-3 days after birth, will show symptoms of jaundice, the skin looks yellow. This is because their liver is not yet fully functional and cannot get rid of the bilirubin formed in the liver, which accumulates in the skin and forms jaundice, which usually disappears after a week. So, new parents don’t have to worry too much about it. Tip: If jaundice appears from the first day of life or persists for more than a week, it may be pathological jaundice, so you should seek immediate medical attention. 2, pulling dark green fetal stool after birth, the newborn may pull out sticky dark green poo, see this situation, mothers and fathers do not need to be too alarmed, this is actually commonly known as the fetal stool. Generally within 24 hours after the birth of the baby poop, 4-5 days after birth will turn into golden yellow stool. The reason for this phenomenon is that the fetal baby swallowed fetal fat and amniotic fluid together with the intestines while in the mother-to-be’s belly, and they accumulated in the intestines. After starting to eat milk, it will discharge this dark green stool. 3, weight loss After the birth of the baby, weight loss instead of gain, what is going on? In fact, in the 2-4 days after the birth of the baby, weight loss is a normal phenomenon. Mainly due to the relatively small amount of newborn feeding, coupled with the discharge of fetal stool and urine, amniotic fluid vomiting, sweating and evaporation of skin moisture and other factors, resulting in weight loss (lower than the birth weight) phenomenon, which is only a temporary weight loss, 7 to 10 days after birth can be restored to the weight at birth, after the daily increase of more than 30g.
