What’s wrong with itchy, yellow water and stinky ears?

Patients with itchy yellow water inside their ears that also stinks, mainly consider two aspects: first, the patient’s ear canal is likely to have eczema formation, often because the patient’s resistance is weak, and the ear canal is often in a humid environment inside, it is particularly easy to form eczema, and the patient’s itchiness is particularly pronounced. In terms of treatment, the external ear canal can be cleaned with boric acid solution, followed by the application of ketoconazole cream or dinaide cream in the ear canal, which can effectively play a role in treating eczema. Second, the main consideration is cholesteatoma of the external ear canal. Cholesteatoma is a benign substance with a malignant growth pattern, which can invade the mucous membrane of the skin, causing itchiness inside the patient’s ear, yellow water and also stink, and must be actively treated. In severe cases, the cholesteatoma needs to be completely cleaned out of the ear canal under general anesthesia, and the patient’s condition will improve significantly after active treatment.
