Loratadine Dispersible Tablets are administered orally as 10mg once daily in adults, children >12 years of age, and children 2-12 years of age weighing >30kg, or 5mg once daily if children 2-12 years of age weighing ≤30kg. Loratadine Dispersible Tablets are available in 5mg and 10mg dosage forms, and are mainly indicated for symptomatic relief of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, burning sensation of the runny eyes. It can also be used to relieve symptoms of chronic urticaria as well as other skin allergies. Common adverse reactions include headache, fatigue, dry mouth, nausea, drowsiness, and rash. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to the drug. The drug is not suitable for children under 2 years of age, pregnant women, renal insufficiency, a history of cardiac arrhythmia should be used with caution.
