White discharge at the corner of the eye when you wake up in the morning may be a blepharospasmic gland secretion or it may be caused by conjunctivitis due to a bacterial infection.
In normal people, white discharge can appear in the corners of the eyes after waking up in the morning because of the accumulation of eye secretions (mainly from the blepharoplasty glands) after a night’s sleep.
Conjunctivitis patients, under the stimulation of inflammation, the eyes can also appear a large amount of white secretion, sometimes sticking to the eyes, resulting in the patient’s eyes can not open the phenomenon, and the eyes will also appear tingling, dry and itchy, redness and increase in the number of uncomfortable symptoms. In the case of bacterial infections, the discharge is thick and sticky, while in the case of viral infections, the discharge is watery.
It is recommended that patients with increased eye discharge seek medical attention to evaluate their condition and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
