This reaction does not manifest itself immediately after surgery, but rather after a period of time when the tissues begin to produce this post-traumatic reaction, which is more pronounced. In particular, the third day after double eyelid surgery is the most swollen time, after three days the edema instead begins to slowly subside. Patients are not advised to eat spicy foods after double eyelid surgery, because spicy and stimulating foods can lead to scar growth, which is not conducive to wound recovery.
