The relationship between the five elements and the five organs of the human body lies in the fact that the five elements are symbiotic to illustrate the relationship between the five organs and the five elements are mutually exclusive to illustrate the relationship between the five organs and the five organs. The five elements are wood, fire, earth, gold and water, and the five organs are liver, heart, spleen, lungs and kidneys. Liver is wood; heart is fire; spleen is earth; lungs are gold; and kidneys are water. The relationship between the five elements can illustrate the relationship between the five organs, such as the liver gives birth to the heart; the heart gives birth to the spleen; the spleen gives birth to the lungs; the lungs give birth to the kidneys; and the kidneys give birth to the liver. The Five Elements can also be used to illustrate the constraints between the five organs. The Liver grasps the Spleen; the Spleen grasps the Kidney; the Kidney grasps the Heart; the Heart grasps the Lung; and the Lung grasps the Liver. In addition, the five elements can also be used to illustrate the self-regulation among the five organs in order to maintain their overall coordination and balance and the unity of the environment within the human body.
