Is there a fetal heart in the second month of pregnancy?

Normally, there is a fetal heartbeat in the 2nd month of pregnancy. The fetal heart and germ usually appear at 7 weeks of pregnancy, which is around 50 days of pregnancy. So at 2 months of pregnancy, the embryo has already taken its first human shape, with a larger head, accounting for nearly half of the whole fetal body, and can distinguish the eyes, ears, nose and mouth, etc. The organs are differentiating and developing, and the heart has already formed, which can be detected by ultrasound examination. If the menstrual cycle is usually relatively long, you can go to the hospital for ultrasound examination when you are 55-60 days pregnant, and you can see the fetal heartbeat under normal circumstances. If you can’t see it, you can review it again after a week. If you see a gestational sac of 2.5-3 cm in diameter, but no heartbeat is seen, it is usually indicative of fetal abortion, and if necessary, the pregnancy should be terminated according to medical advice. In order to avoid affecting the fetal heart development, it is important to avoid exposure to toxic and harmful substances in the early stages of pregnancy, and to continue to apply folic acid tablets. Avoid doing chest X-ray, CT and other examinations that are radioactive to the body, and use some drugs with caution. Also change the bad lifestyle, ensure sufficient sleep and avoid high intensity work. Follow medical advice for prenatal checkups, early prevention and treatment of pregnancy complications or comorbidities, and timely detection of fetal abnormalities to ensure the safety of mother and child.
