Left side scrotal mass combined with positive valsalva’s test generally refers to left side varicocele, which is prevalent in adolescents, mostly on the left side, and can be typed by ultrasound examination and valsalva’s test.
Varicocele is a disease in which the blood stagnates, causing the spermatic veins to elongate, expand, and meander, which in turn causes a series of symptoms. It often develops in young adults, and clinically most patients occur on the left side, with 1% being bilateral.
Patients can be characterized by ultrasonography and the Valsalva test. Subclinical Valsalva test shows reflux with a reflux time of ≥1 second; clinical Valsalva test shows significant reflux of venous blood flow.
After the patient is diagnosed with varicocele, surgical treatment such as high ligation of the spermatic vein can be performed under the guidance of a physician.
In summary, patients with varicocele need to go to the hospital in time for examination.
