How to differentiate a liver cyst from a metastatic tumor

Liver cysts and liver metastases can be differentiated by symptoms, laboratory tests, imaging and other measures.
1.Symptoms:
(1) Liver cysts: clinical manifestations are usually dominated by symptoms such as fever and pain in the liver area.
(2) Liver metastasis: there may be no specific manifestation in the early stage, and jaundice, ascites and other manifestations may appear with the development of the disease.
2. Laboratory examination:
(1) Liver cysts: there may be elevated levels of white blood cell count and neutrophil count.
(2) Liver metastasis: there may be no obvious change in neutrophil or leukocyte level, but its tumor marker test may be abnormal.
3. Pathologic examination:
(1) Hepatic cysts: the main manifestations are infiltration of inflammatory cells and proliferation of tissue inflammatory reaction.
(2) Liver metastases: mainly tumor cells with abnormal differentiation and proliferation.
Liver cysts and liver metastases can also be clearly identified by antibiotic experimental treatment; if you suspect liver cysts and liver metastases, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time.
