How to treat multiple uterine fibroids

Multiple fibroids are defined as three or more fibroids on top of a woman’s uterus. Uterine fibroids are hormone-dependent benign tumors that in most cases do not have obvious symptoms, but multiple fibroids may cause a series of adverse symptoms such as increased menstrual flow, prolonged periods, dysmenorrhea and infertility, so timely treatment is needed. At this stage of treatment for multiple fibroids, there are mainly medication, surgery and physical therapy. The main medications for multiple fibroids are Gui Zhi Fu Ling Pill, Dispersing Stasis Capsule and Vajra Vine, etc. These medications are effective and can control the growth of fibroids to a certain extent, and may even make the fibroids smaller in size, but it is impossible to get rid of fibroids completely through medications. If the fibroids are larger than 4 centimeters and are multiple, surgery is required. The surgical procedure is divided into total hysterectomy, subtotal hysterectomy, and myoma removal or debridement. The surgical procedure is divided into open surgery, laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopic surgery. With the development of modern medicine, physical methods can also be used for the treatment of fibroids, such as high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, etc. The results are also very good.
