Endocrine disorders and persistent acne

1, acne, also known as acne, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of the sebaceous glands of hair follicles caused by a variety of factors. Endocrine disorders are closely related to persistent acne. 2, in the occurrence of acne, androgens play an important role, androgens will promote the secretion of sebaceous glands, while making the hair follicle mouth hyperkeratosis block pores. The retained sebum is broken down by Propionibacterium acnes to produce free fatty acids, resulting in inflammation of acne. When the patient’s resistance is low, a larger spread of inflammation can be formed and the acne becomes a dark red pustule that does not heal over time, which becomes stubborn acne. 3, female patients with severe acne accompanied by hirsutism, irregular menstrual cycle, and androgen too high other manifestations, such as thickening of the voice, resistance to insulin or the emergence of male pattern hair loss need to be alert to multiple ovarian cysts, adrenal tumors or adrenal hyperplasia. 4, thyroxine: can affect the metabolism of the whole body including hair follicles sebaceous glands. If the acne is in a very short period of time, a large number of popped up, it is also possible that the water intake is not enough, the metabolism is slow. This will allow the body to accumulate toxins, which also become the main cause of acne. 5, Lactogen: It will stimulate the secretion of sebaceous glands and is related to the aggravation of acne before and after menstruation. 6.Thyroid hormone can indirectly promote thyroid secretion and increase the metabolic rate, making the severity of acne more severe. 7 , The adrenal glands can secrete androgens in addition to adrenaline. The adrenal glands can also be the predecessor of some androgens, which can be converted into androgens in the periphery, and these hormones can also make acne more severe. People who stay up late often have increased adrenaline secretion, which is very likely to induce acne. Because of poor sleep, a person’s skin oil will be secreted more, and thus acne grows more. 8, specific treatment varies from person to person, individualized program is needed. Note: The tests to be done in advance are 1. blood routine, to know if there are heavy infections and other conditions. 2, fasting blood sugar: to exclude diabetes. 3.Lipid 4, to know if there is hyperlipidemia. Seborrheic skin is one of the important factors for recurrent attacks. 4, blood testosterone (androgen) test. Female patients with severe recurrence should have sex hormone 6 test. Exclude polycystic ovary syndrome and pituitary diseases. 5, selectively do liver function tests.
