What are the symptoms of gum cancer?

Gum cancer is one of the malignant tumors of the oral cavity, and the incidence is relatively high among oral cancers, often occurring in the gum area. Generally, gum cancer below is more common than gum cancer above. Some gums are ulcerated and such ulcers do not heal for a long time, usually for more than a month, and unexplained ulcers need attention and pathological examination. Early stage gum cancer may also infiltrate into the alveolar process and jawbone. Some of them will cause loosening of the teeth and will be accompanied by pain. Gum cancer in the upper jaw may invade the maxillary sinus, while gum cancer in the lower jaw may invade the floor of the mouth and the buccal area, sometimes causing mouth opening restriction. In general, gum cancer in the lower jaw has earlier lymph node metastasis than gum cancer in the upper jaw, while distant lymph node metastasis is less common in gum cancer in the upper jaw. The most important treatment for gum cancer is surgery. For gum cancer in the oral cavity, prevention is the most important thing, and it is necessary to maintain good oral hygiene in general. We should try to eat less stimulating things, treat periodontal diseases in time, remove calculus, plaque and other irritants in the oral cavity in time, and have regular oral checkups, and deal with oral diseases in time once they are found.
